Army-Funded CrossFit Courses

Soldiers, get your CrossFit education paid for by the U.S. Army.

Soldiers can use Army Credentialing Assistance funds to pursue the Certified CrossFit Trainer (‘CCFT’) credential—also known as the Level 3. The CCFT is the culmination of the Level 1, Level 2, and additional coursework.

Eligible courses: Level 1, Level 2, Nutrition, Scaling, Spot the Flaw, Lesson Planning, and the Level 3 (CCFT).

How It Works

1. Pick a CrossFit course and request a quote. CrossFit will email you a quote for the cost of the course.

2. Submit the quote to ArmyIgnitED for approval and payment. Set the goal of ‘Certified CrossFit Trainer (CCFT)’ when submitting the quote.

3. Once the Army pays, you’ll begin your journey to becoming a Certified CrossFit Trainer!

  • Yes, currently the Army is the only branch of service that’s eligible to use this benefit.

  • Army IgnitED is available to enlisted, warrant officers, and officers.

  • You do not have to be a member of a CrossFit gym or have CrossFit experience to take this course, and it’s not just for CrossFit coaches or athletes.

  • After earning your CrossFit Level 1 Certificate you will be qualified to coach CrossFit classes at a CrossFit affiliate or own a CrossFit gym. It’s also great preparation for personal trainers, teachers, and coaches.
